Treatment Process
During your complimentary Invisalign consultation here at SmileOn, your dentist will take x-rays, examine your jaw and bite alignment, as well as the positioning of your teeth to develop a treatment plan. We will also take impressions of your teeth and a series of digital scans using 3D imagery to map out the movement of your teeth during the orthodontic treatment. These images will be used to develop your custom-molded sets of clear Invisalign aligners. Within 6 weeks, your first set of aligners will be ready, and your treatment process can begin!
As your teeth begin to straighten, you will be given a series of different trays to align the teeth to their ideal positions. An average of between 18 and 30 aligners will be worn throughout the treatment. Each aligner is designed to make the teeth slighter straighter than the previous aligner. Your teeth will move up to 0.25mm per day, allowing you to notice visible results in only a few weeks.
The duration of treatment for adults is between 9-15 months, during which time you will see your teeth shift dramatically. The results are stunning, straight teeth, with little-to-no discomfort, and minimal change to your daily routine.
